Ever want to dress your dog up and take them trick or treating with you and the kids or just take cute photos.
Well Dog costumes are expensive, especially depending on the size of the dog.
For last minute dog costumes, just raid your kids dress up box or use every day items. Dont forget to have a handful of treats to reward your Puppy for cooperating and being a good boy/girl.
Please take the consideration to reward your pets for each step of cooperation in playing dress up and staying still enough for a photo. Please remember that animals aren’t used to being dressed up, and often move as well; so don’t get mad if something falls off or doesn’t go according to plan.
Sitting in the backroom doing school work and the dog is laying underneath my feet.
I fart and didn’t think anything of it. The dog gets up suddenly, backs up & turns….He sniffs his butt for a few seconds and then walks away.
I continue my school work and the dog doesn’t come back.
My daughter and I are sitting on the couch, finishing up a tv show. She has about an hour before bedtime, and has been bugging me. So just to get a few minutes of peace, I decided to just send her to go get ready for bed.
Me: “Go get ready for bed please.” BabyGirl: sighs and groans Me: “time to get ready for bed”, singing, “teeth and pajamas, teeth and pajamas, teeth and pajamas.” BabyGirl: ignoring me Me: “Go put on your teeth and brush your pajamas.”
She turns and looks at me, as I am smothering a laugh
BabyGirl: “That’s not right.”
Me: “Yes, you need to go put on your teeth and brush your pajamas to get ready for bed.” BabyGirl: “I don’t need to put on teeth, I am not old, I am 8 and pajamas are clothes, Not hair.” Me: starting to laugh, “Go get ready for bed now.”
Kid on a sleep over followed by a day off ………means I get to sleep in… Not!
Woke up to a Buzzing phone……It’s a text message from my dad asking if we’re all up and want to go to breakfast. No we are most certainly not up, (Its 7am on a Sunday) in fact, the husband is snoring next to me, the birds aren’t even whistling yet, and I am pretty sure lazy dog is outside my bedroom door. Three minutes, 5 texts later, my Dad called me and said “are you awake, last night I didn’t have any breaks, I am hungry”. Mind you, I am still in bed…even the animals are sleeping. It’s to damned early. lol.
Anyways, I leave the room and hear the birds whistling and calling out to be fed, (they found out I was awake). The dog has since moved to the living room rug and circled in on himself, cause apparently it’s still to early for him. Dad mentions early bird gets the worm, and we gotta hurry to beat the brunch crowd whom apparently start clogging up restaurants around 10:30am…. This I know, cause the hubby likes going to brunch around 11am and there is always a long wait. I agree, with grit still in my voice, and he says be at his house around 9am.
My daughter texted me a picture of some dry erase artwork, she worked on when she woke up. At 8am, woke the hububs up and we got ready. Picked dad up and went to breakfast; hubs was happy we finally made it to the restaurant while they were still serving breakfast. It was simply enjoyable to relax, talk and eat breakfast with my husband and dad. Rarely does that ever happen, and I cherish family moments like this. Got home and the Dog as yet to wake up, although he’s moved through out the house with me as I go from room to room, he curls into himself or lays underneath my feet. Three out of the four birds are napping, and again, I am just about the only one in my house awake, the hubby’s napping too.
So cheers to a good morning well spent.
Decided to catch up on all the calls I had to make today, I had like five or six of them to make. Also decided to catch up on the forms I had to fill out. First call to deal with student loan deferment, went great, hold time & talk time was a total of 8 minutes and they played country music and Jason Derulo for the hold times. Than I had to call my couches protection plan, that led to a second phone call, pictures and email, and then I have to make a third call to make sure they got the email. An hour later, I am dealing with bills, and I have to fill out a form online.. OH My Jeez… UGH two hours later.. and now I don’t even remember what other calls I had to make. I know I need to review two bills, but I am over being online just about.
My sister called me earlier and tempted me to come over and distract my baby nefew so she could bake. I was so tempted to drop everything and go hold the chubby munchkin; but I was on a roll getting phone calls and paper work done, and I still had to stack the dishwasher and take a shower. I hate when my hair feels all greasy. However, now I can’t even remember who else I need to call.
There is a list of stuff I could do; like giving the dog a bath, I watched him roll in the grass and than twenty minutes later, run to the back door, with his tongue lolling out of his mouth. (Don’t know if he has been fed yet, I remember, I need to call the hubby and ask). and I was watching Deuce on his swing trying to play with his toy, and attempting to get a good foot hold on it so that he could have his personal time with it. He discovered that two weeks ago, and was going at it like twice a day, so I removed the toy he was enjoying and that seemed to help. I may need to remove the other toy, I tried to remove the swing, but Nikki uses it to. He is currently to young to mate, so I don’t encourage the behavior.
Well I guess, its time to clean up the house, at least untill I remember what other calls need to be made.
No coffee today yet.. wait maybe I will go make some.
